Me: Manman!
(No cat comes)
Me: Manman!
(Again, no cat comes)
Me: Monkey!!!
The silly ginger-white cat walks/trots/gallop over, depending on how excited he was (maybe abit faster if Popo was calling him instead.)
All Popo's fault that Manman thinks his name is Monkey now
No one:
Me: Miaomiao! (Hoist Miaomiao into the air once)
Miaomiao!! (Hoist Miaomiao into the air again)
MIAOMIAO!!!!! (Hoist into the air a third time)
Don't ask me why, one day I randomly decided to hoist her into the air and realised she actually quite likes it.
Since then this has became an almost-daily ritual for Miaomiao :D
Sometimes I look at Miaomiao and think we didn't do her much justice with a half-baked name
She probably shares the same name as numerous other stray cats who don't have an actual name! :'(
But to our defence, we did not give her a half-baked name on purpose.
You see, when she stepped into our house, we never thought that she would end up being officially adopted.
Reason being, our mother would NEVER have allowed us to keep her!
And hence we gave her an interim name "Miaomiao" so that we did not get too attached to her.
And somehow, somewhat we ended up keeping her as family in the end. And by then, other names didn't seem right for her anymore.
There goes, the story of why Miaomiao is Miaomiao
