I cannot see you, thus you cannot see me and cannot cut my nails!

Nail cutter person does not heed the warning,

but Mama saw her and put the food back in place.

Beanbean's 2nd birthday =)

Today is 21st December 2009, which is the 2nd year Beanbean has join us =)

Happy birthday beanie! Tonight we'll be having a happy meal for all of them to celebrate her birthday.. =)

Christmas is in the air

Christmas is in the air as Miaomiao and pepper dress up for to bring about the festive mood!

(Not for those who do not like to read in great length about poo)

Pepper's red string toy was consficated today.

He went to the litter tray today,
to do his BIG business as usual

Ougwee, out of concern that
he would accidentally step on his poo as usual,
decided to supervise him

Sounds perverted I know,
but sometimes it's really necessary

So Ougwee found it unusual
that Pepper was still trying to pass motion
after so long

"Maybe I should give him some privacy",
she thought
So she decided to turn her back to him
while he did his BIG business

Turns out that Pepper wasn't too concerned about his lack of privacy

He was having trouble passing motion,
and as quoted from Ougwee,
it came out POOT POOT POOT POOT POOT POOT
which means those small and constipated pieces type

Pepper must have strained himself,
that his legs gave way and he sat on his poo

So the supervision wasn't of much use you see

Then he stepped out of the litter box,
and proceeded to drag his butt across the floor,
leaving a trail of not very nice things on the floor.

Then Ougwee found that
there was a stool dangling from his butt

She immediately lifted him off the ground
and shook Pepper to shake the stool off
which didn't really work.

She immediately called for help,
and big sis helped to carry Pepper
so that she could pull out the stool
As she pulled a whole length of string came out after it

And it was bathing time for Pepper again,
if you remember that he sat right on his poo

The cat who sleeps like a human :)

This was when MiaoMiao just came....

And now she sleeps more gracefully like a human!

Coat BRIGHTENER shampoo

It was shower time for them today
This time they didn't make much noise while bathing

We used the new cat shampoo that
we bought recently,
only to realise minutes before their bath
that it was a "coat brightener shampoo",
which was described as a
"Brightener that whitens and brightens"

Then the long description on the side of the bottle said:
".....high quality shampoo specifically developed for
white and light coloured coats....."

Hmm.
Why didn't we notice this when we decided to get this one?
And both of them are not exactly very white.
Maybe except for Pepper's chest hair and 4 paws,
which are white

So far (after their bath)
their colours still look pretty normal.

So that's good I guess

Guess this is sufficient to explain

why we never get to sleep past nine,

without waking up at all

Our little Pepper taking a sun bath,

He doesn't seem to know that he is quite black,
no need to sun tan already!!

and Pepper,
black absorbs a lot of heat,
so you shouldn't be lying there too long right? :)

Mama, why is my treat not here yet?

Nowadays MiaoMiao likes to

perch herself on the stool next to the refrigerator

waiting expectantly for us to feed her treats,

which both of the cats know we keep in the refrigerator

Of course we didn't feed her,

we can't possibly let her have the habbit of

getting her treat just by sitting on that stool

MiaoMiao kind of likes to human-train us sometimes

Instead of her listening to our commands,

she's getting us to feed her just by sitting at her food corner,

or on the stool beside the refrigerator

Sweet little MiaoMiao :)

MiaoMiao always have this very guilty face
whenever she throw up furballs

It's quite obvious she's the one,
because she will be sitting near by,
looking at you like "Orh oh..sorry"

So poor thing!

And we wasn't even going to scold her...
After she has kindly informed us of her mess
she goes on to hide under the bed,
probably to avoid any possible scoldings.

Somewhat she just knows that
it is not nice to dirty the house.
Like she already knows where to go do her business
when she just came,
without us showing her.

Pepper, on the other hand,
takes great satisfaction in
digging the litter with great vigour,
so that we have to sweep the floor,
full of litter sand after that

How to get back at Pepper for disturbing you in your sleep

At about 15 minutes to 9 o' clock,
Pepper will start disturbing us
(actually I'm the greater victim)

For example he will claw at my blanket
(His nails are cut)

When this happens do not let him know
that you are awake
Open your eyes only slightly
and wait for him to face away from you.

Then quickly hit his butt
(With this I mean lightly,
not hit til he falls off the double decker bed)

Then quickly pretend that you are sleeping

Pepper then looks back in your direction,
wondering what hit him just now...
