An imaginary story of the 3 cats

A bottle of whisky was left on the table.
Mama was out,
she went to get a little something from the shop below

Momo saw the lonely bottle on the table,
and decided that he would get to it

So up he jumped,
onto the stool,
then up onto the table.

He patted the bottle on its back
with his paw,
his usual way of greeting to anyone,
and GOSH!,
the bottle fell,
and broke into pieces!

A different smelling liquid came flowing out,
Momo and the other two cats came over to investigate...

Mama soon came home after getting her stuff.
The first thing she saw
was the broken bottle on the floor

Just a short distance away from it
was Momo.
"MeOw! meoW! meoOw!!",
Momo meowed in a rather odd manner.

Quite obvious that he was drunk, very drunk.
He swayed from left to right,
unable to keep his balance.

Miaomiao sat on the stool,
giving a very very disapprovingly look as usual.
A proper cat wouldn't drink whisky you know!!

A little further away
was Pepper,
lying on the ground
"Mama, I took a sip and I can't take it anymore! EoW!"
Then he fainted.

The other side of Miaomiao

Yesterday morning
I was shook awake by Emily,
who said:
"Miaomiao ate dessert"

Okay, actually she didn't say that,
but I was barely awake,
so I heard that.

The actual sentence was:
"Miaomiao ate a lizard"

Eww..

According to Emily,
she caught a glimpse of a lizard tail
hanging out from Miaomiao's mouth,
while the other two feline apprentices
were staring at her intently

By the time I got to the living room,
Miaomiao was looking pretty innocent

Then the three feline friends started
their search for ... something

Like what Ougwee says,
Miaomiao is obedient in every single way,
just not when there's a lizard in her sight!!

No wonder the lizards nowadays are only baby-sized

Eww..

While printing lecture notes...

This video is so short,
because Momo sat on the printer
and the paper jammed.

he dares to go near the monster that churns out paper!!

He seems to be quite surprised each time
a piece of paper comes out

Wrong Wrong Wrong

Had a look at my friend's iPhone today.

There is this application
which a talking cat repeats your words after you,
you can punch it every now and then :(,
and when it's hungry you can feed it milk!!

Now that's very wrong.
Cats don't really drink milk

No wonder people ask me
why I don't feed my cat milk,
because of all that misinformation

Momo's walk

Momo decided that he was brave enough
to go for a walk outside.

He ventured bit by bit,
and made it a few steps away from the door,
when the national flag was blown in
from the other side of the railing.

He then got stunned
and ran back home...

Funny stereotypes people have about cats

1. Cats eat fish bones.

(probably from reading too much of those pictorial storybooks)

2. Cats eat raw fish.

(same. I think must be because of the primary school PETS coursebook
storybook)

3. Cats drink milk. Love to actually...

(Watching too much cartoons...)

4. Cats sleep in baskets at night.

(I think most of them sleep whereever they like? From my experience that is.
Same. Don't watch so much cartoons!!)

Why should you NOT let Momo know that you are awake already,
when you still want to laze in bed a little bit more...

Miaomiao's eyes

It's been about 4 days since Miaomiao saw the vet,
and in my opinion,
her eyes haven't really recovered

SO POOR THING...

Her eyes are still abit crooked-looking,
because of the enlarged haw
(found at the inner corner of the eye)

The lucky thing is that
if we ever need to take her back to the vet
because she didn't recover using the eye drops,
I think the review is free

One of Miaomiao's best features (like most cats)
is her eyes,
so she'd better recover

Pepper's fetish

I made a mistake by showing
Pepper his favourite black scrunchie today,
when he had quite forgotten about
his scrunchie fetish

He has a bad fetish for two things:
scrunchies, and cotten buds

After realising my mistake,
I quickly placed the scrunchie in a drawer

Then Pepper tried to climb up the cupboard

A few minutes ago,
when I was using my laptop,
sitting at the table,
he tried to touch my rubber band
with his two feet on the table

I unintentionally made him
remember his scrunchie addiction you see...

It's not so good to badmouth Pepper on the blog,
because he knows how to shut down my computer using his paw

Luckily Blogger saves a copy of the entry every few seconds.. :)

Pepper's first attempt at editing

Was asked by a friend to help edit her proposal,
so I looked through the Word document
and edited as I scrolled down

Pepper decided to help out in the editing,
and there he went,
stepping all over the keyboard

The thing is,
Pepper isn't really that good in grammar,
he is only good in generating
long strings of nonsensical letters.

So I typed behind his contribution
(edited by Pepper),
firstly to give him some credit,
but more importantly to clarify
that I wasn't the one typing all that nonsense

Since she is a fan of Pepper,
I think she wounldn't mind the extra editing
that really wasn't of much use.

Luckily not Haw Syndrome

Miaomiao in the vet clinic waiting for her turn

She looks like she's so independent
and got to the vet clinic herself!!

Of course not,
Emily and Ougwee took her to see the vet


She's scared,
but managed to conceal her nervousness well

                                     When Miaomiao is scared, she can hide in the bag!!!


And once again,
she snarled at the vet to scare her

Miaomiao never get tired scaring people like this

According to the vet,
Miaomiao is not suffering from Haw Syndrome
as I/we have thought,
because if she were to be suffering from that,
her pupils would be pointing in different directions,
and she would have a rather confused manner of walking

Wow. Vets are really knowlegeable

So she is suffering from the same,
conjunctivitis,
the haw part coming out from the corner of her eye
is just due to some sensitivity
so the vet has prescribed eye drops for her,
Miaomiao should be recovering soon!

Miaomiao's eye problem.

Note the extra eyelid coming out from the inner corner of her eye.

From research on the internet,

Miaomiao has Haw's Syndrome.

Haw is the third eye lid found in the inner corner of the eye

For a few days her eyes have been looking weird,

because both eyes've got that extra eyelid protruding,

and her eyes look a little slanted.

I didn't know what it was until I looked up on the Net.

Thing is,

some sources say the symptoms actually clear up

after two to six weeks,

so there's no need to worry or take the cat to the vet

On the other hand,

some sources say that Haw's syndrome

could be a sign of underlying illnesses,

(eg:anemia, dehydration, diahorrea etc.)

and the cat should be taken to the vet immediately.

Other than that,

not a lot of comprehensive articles are available online

So how?

Confusing...

How cats find comfort with feet

No, no one forced their feet upon their face,

they (specifically Momo) just came to sleep on the feet.

And no, no, despite the first photo looking

like Momo was kicked in the head,

he really went to put his head against the feet and started sleeping.

The closet destroyer

I think there's something
I have been very kind about,
and haven't mentioned it on the blog

But since Momo's done it again today,
I shall not be so kind!

HE DESTROYED THE ROOF OF OUR CLOSET!!!

Yes,
the 5kg Momo jumped all over the closet,
which is the tall type and has less than
1 metre gap from the ceiling.
Then the roof came in,
so the roof board is halfway into the closet.

All because of the 5kg Momo.

The Dumb-bell

Felt that Momo was getting a little heavier,
so I decided to weigh him today

HE IS NOW 5KG!!!

As a gauge to explain why I put
the previous sentence in CAPS with "!!!":

Miaomiao is currently 1 yr 8 mths old.
She weighs 3.2kg

Pepper is currently 1 yr 1mth old.
He weighs 3.8kg.

Momo is currently 7 mth old.
He weighs 5KG!!!

So ya,
he's small, compact and weighs 5kg
Just like a dumbbell.

We will have to see what we can do
to control his weight...

The three cats

One day,
the three cats decided to have a nap
on the upper deck of the double decker bed

So Miaomiao jumped up first.
Silently and gracefully,
she jumped over the railing
and landed on the bed.

Next Pepper jumped.
He jumped with a "Wruuh!!"
He just loved having sound effects,
be it when he was jumping or
when his mama suddenly approached him from the back
He landed rather gracefully on the bed

Lastly Momo jumped.

BIM-BIM-BAM-BAM!!!

Needless to say,
he didn't do it very gracefully,
and it sounded like the bed was crashing,
on a smaller scale though

Pepper scowled and made his classic whine,
before jumping off the bed

"WHRRUUH!!!"

In the end Miaomiao and Momo
slept on the upper deck,
while Pepper slept on the nearby table below

Pepper's 1st year!

Today is Pepper's first year!
On this day in 2009,
Pepper and his 3 siblings came into our house.

Of course we didn't really expect to
adopt him out of the 4 kittens;
we had nicknames for each of the 4 kittens
Bella was "timid",
Queenie was "the fierce one",
Jasper was "the adventurous one"
and our dear little Pepper?
"the naughty one"!

This is our first photo of Pepper I guess.

The Pepper then had a very snotty face,

sneezing every few minutes

Once he even farted into Ougwee's face

while sneezing

Popo always put him in the newspaper stand
whenever he kept jumping on her stuff.
After that he just found that
he loved being in the newspaper stand,
and went in himself

Luckily he became good friends with Miaomiao!!!

"the naughty one" has now grown into
a very affectionate handsome cat
who loves to play fetch.
And sit in his aeroplane of course.

Pepper the imaginary pilot

Introducing Pepper the pilot!!!

This is my plane I'm sitting in

It has WINDOWS too!!

Emily-mama is always complaining how tiring it is,

I can't see what's the big fuss!

After all, I'm the one flying the plane!

I can make it slide over the floor,

fly up and down, you name it.

But I need to wait for Emily-mama to pump oil for the plane,

then it can fly

It's normal after all!

At my workplace,
some of the staff fuss over
babies of customers who come in

Then I heard this one entertain a cute little baby,
it's like how I entertain the cats sometimes

Okay,
I'm not that abnormal actually =D

Popo knows Momo so well!!

Momo always has this habit of
lying on some random spot on the ground
(example in the middle of the living room,
blocking people's path)

I asked him: "Momo, why you lie here in the middle of nowhere?"

He happened to look a bit melancholic because
he was gazing at one side or something

Popo helped him explain:
"因为他很不开心"
("because he is feeling very unhappy")

See, Popo knows him so well...

Fly comes to visit

Today,
for unknown reasons,
there were quite a few erm.. flies? bees?
loitering around around our house

Some were flying around the lights outside our house,
and a few flew into our house,
circulating around our lights

When I came home from work
the three cats were positioned neatly in a line
in the living room

Sadly it was not to welcome me home,
but rather to look at their flies/bees
(apparently much prettier than any of their mamas)

The follow-the-rules Miaomiao
jumped up on the cabinet,
just to get a closer look at the fly/bee

Then we started "Ouh!!"
and of course she realised she did something quite wrong
and quickly jumped off the cabinet

The fly was so appealing to look at
that not more than five minutes later she jumped up

The way they are so interested in these flying creepies,
that we are afraid that they will eat them up,
often make us sin

So the fly ends up in the bin.
