R.I.P Peanut (10 Dec 2008 - 29 Sep 2010)

We don't know what happened though,
he hasn't really reached old age yet.

He was discovered last night motionless in his house,
with some dried discharge on his nose.

Rest in peace, Peanut..

The demanding cat

Ougwee read before online about
how a cat owner complained that
tortoiseshell cats are very demanding cats

Proved by our Miss Miaomiao at home

I was busy replying to an SMS,
when Miaomiao from the kitchen went
"NEOW NEOW!!",
asking for her food

I was trying to think what to type,
so I just "Ah ah ah" back in an attempt to "entertain" her,
which she was not very satisfied with,
so she continued
"NEOW NEOW! NEOW NEOW!!",
until she sounded like she was shouting at me

I gave up and went over to feed her.
She ate about 4 pellets and strutted off.

We really spoilt her too much!

Pepper's fans

Ougwee was carrying Pepper in her lap,
while sitting near the kitchen window,
when she heard shrieks from the block beside

Apparently,
the kids from next block
saw Pepper and got very excited

Pepper's fan club is growing...

Glutton Pepper

Ougwee heard some sounds from the kitchen
which she didn't thought was very suspicious.

That is,
until she realised Pepper was not within her sight

(FYI: If Pepper is not within your easy sight
he could be doing something naughty,
like sitting on the altar or washing machine)

Then she went to check on the kitchen
Pepper was indeed up to his old tricks,
seeing that the food on the dining table
wasn't covered properly,
and the tail of his yummy fried fish
was sticking out of the food cover

There he was,
caught red-handed standing up on the stool,
with his two paws on the table,
trying to grab a bite of the fish

When he saw Ougwee appear,
he immediately ran off
with what he had in his mouth,
into the living room.

Of course his loot didn't last with him for very long.

Minutes after that
I caught him licking his mouth
(*Yummy yummy*)
SO NAUGHTY!

Momo's tactic

I realise that sometimes
Momo bite to get his way

Today he came onto my bed while I was sleeping
My legs were on the side of the bed
very near to the wall,
which he probably wanted to sleep on

So he bit one of my legs.
I sleepily moved that leg away.

But the other leg was still blocking him.
*Bite*
*Leg dutifully moved away*
*Goal completed*

After that when I was awake then
I thought about why he was biting my leg

So that's why he keeps trying to
bite Miaomiao or Pepper
whenever they are lying on some chair.
He never fails to get his wanted spot
by using that trick

Miaomiao fine now

Went to check on Miaomiao
when I woke up this morning,
and she gave me her very pitiful look,
as if asking for consolation

The string is now not stuck in her butt
I don't know where is it though

She should be fine now
that she can get up on my bed

She's sleeping there right now
(But I wonder if my bed will have
a smelly spot later on..)

Horrible thoughts

We the mamas start to imagine in horror,
Miaomiao happily sitting on our beds,
dragging her dirty butt across,
with the string trailing behind her


*FAINTS*

The cat don't learn 2

Miaomiao just pooed a moment ago,
then the string came out a little.

So after she done her business,
we held her,
and I tried to pull out the string

It was good for about 5 cm,
then after that the string was stuck,
and I couldn't pull out any further

Not to mention that she yelped in pain :(

So what we could only do
was to cut the string a second time,
so that the poo-contaminated string didn't drag all over the floor

She was very distressed the whole while
and kept making her angry sounds

Hope the whole string will come out soon...

The cat never learns

Great,
now there's a long long string
stuck in Miaomiao's anus,
and we can't pull it out.

The best we could do was to cut it shorter,
and maybe wait til she passes motion
to get it out

Cats never learn their lessons
about eating up random things

Miaomiao must have eaten up the thread
while she was accompanying Popo sewing...

Lovesick Momo

"Where are you my love?"

Pepper's tail at work again!

Poor Pepper's tail is at work again

When he was little,
I remembered that with him being so naughty,
it's no wonder that his tail gets him into trouble
without him making an effort

Now that he's grown up,
and not so naughty anymore,
his tail has decided to give him trouble lately!
(FYI: His tail is hooked at the end)

A few nights ago,
his tail accidentally hooked to some wires,
causing things to topple over when he moved.
He really panicked and went into hiding after that

Just a few minutes ago,
he was happily walking on top of my laptop
when his tail hooked onto the fan's wire
and he couldn't move.
I had to help him ease the wire from his tail

He's now lying behind my laptop
trying to bat at my hands while I type by the way

Weekend wake-up call

Much to the mama's sadness and misfortune,
Momo doesn't see the difference
between a weekday and a weekend day

At about 8am today,
on a glorious Saturday that
normal people should be allowed to sleep in later,
he sat on Emily's bed,
looked at her,
and started "Ah! Ah! Ah!"

Emily's bed isn't surrounded by soundproof walls,
so I also got woken up by a screaming cat.

Sighs.

The Versatile device

For your information,
we now have a mousetrap in our living room.

It is a mobile trap,
positioning it whereever it likes,
in the living room.

And it doesn't catch mice,
it catches legs

Momo,
with his "lie-in-the-middle-of-no-where-and-
block-people-way" syndrome,
has this irritating habbit
of using both his front paws
to grab the leg of anyone passing by him

(Once I walked around him 3 times,
in an attempt to make him dizzy.
I think I got more dizzy)

And when Miaomiao or Pepper walks past,
he converts himself to a cat-trap,
of course making them angry again

Miaomiao has it bad now
These few days
when we walk past her,
we look at her and say
"Your mama very fierce you know?"
("你妈妈很凶！！")

Then she sits there wondering what happened..

The contented cat

Today I was feeding Pepper,
(actually I told Pepper: "Eat!", which he didn't really obey,
so I had to hold his plate to his mouth, so that he would start eating)
then Pepper was feeling quite happy and contented,
so he started kneading the ground with his paws,
while eating his food.

So he was slightly bobbing up and down,
while eating

SO CUTE!
Quite comical looking actually

Miaomiao vs Mum

Miaomiao's mum is in our bathroom right now

She looks almost like Miaomiao,
her expression and the way she walks,
but her temperament is surely nothing like Miaomiao

Thanks goodness our Miaomiao is so sweet and gentle :)
Maybe that explains why she has that bit of antisocial trait

I'm starting to have a slight ache in my right back now
Must be from carrying Momo last night,
and leaning backwards to counter the weight

Momo is teaching me what mothers have to suffer...

Miaomiao on cartoon

A friend introduced me to www2.shidonni.com,
where you can draw animals
and make them into animated pets!

I drew Miaomiao which is quite hard to do,
considering the program is similar to paint
and I was using a mouse

And Miaomiao has so many colours!
