Considerate Momo

Sometimes the night is cold,
and the considerate Momo worrying for me,
helps to maintain the blood circulation in my toes

Thank you so much for biting my toes
every few minutes at night Momo,
that was REALLY helpful...

Why Pepper wasn't scared

Yesterday there was loud clanging
from the lion dance performance downstair,
and Pepper wasn't one bit scared at all

(He gets stressed easily from loud noise and commotions)

Of course, he has his tissue box lion dance good friends,
so he wasn't scared..

Momo snitches

Momo just snitched a bite from
the chicken wings on the table

Actually, chicken wing
(without the s)

They announce their guilt by
licking their mouth after each "crime",
without fail.

We just lost one of our "half-cats"
(Don't worry, nothing happened to
darling Miaomiao, Pepper or Momo)

How I wish I was not a cat

I could be a guinea pig, eating hay all day long...

I could be a hamster, and run on a wheel all day round

 I could be RICE, so that people wouldn't be hungry!



Momo is always right

How Momo deceived us into thinking he was a harmless

little cat to keep..

Today Momo woke me up at 7am

(by screaming at me),

which I got up and fed him

(the other two cats also benefitted)

Then I went back to sleep

At 7.53am,

he woke me up again,

and I ignored him this time round.

He then decided to keep up with his screaming

(AH! AH!)

from then all the way to 9am

Which I finally then woke up

Complained to Popo,

which she said

"Momo ask you wake up then

you wake up lor.."

She indulges too much on Momo,

Momo is always right.

Can't get the message across

Someone should invent a Chinese-to-Cat Language translator

Really don't know how to get it across
to Momo's head,
that NO, jumping on Miaomiao
and biting her til she yelps and
her fur comes off in Momo's mouth
is totally not accepted.

Perhaps to him,
we seem to be scolding him for nothing,
and we are siding with Miaomiao

But, how else if we don't scold?

Miaomiao and her fish

"It looks like a fish, yet it doesn't look like a fish.."

Miaomiao saw a rubber fish on the table
(those silicon fish-bone shaped thing
for earphones to wind around to be kept),
and she spent about 20 minutes trying
to figure out what was it.

I used the fish to prod her in her side
(not in video),
she got so startled,
she jumped up on all fours

Causing a noise because she jumped,
and the table shook,
then her Popo turned to look at me
and "What?", rather disapprovingly...

Cunning Beanbean

The guinea pigs get their "happy meal"
almost every day,
but Beanbean still think of ways
to get better and nicer food!

Such as snitching from prayer offerings.
There is one plate of fruits on the floor,
and when no one's looking,
she sneaks over to the fruits
and takes a few bites from the apple

Maybe Kopi has a share in this too,
but only Beanbean was caught red-pawed.

Beanbean looks super innocent,
but she is not quite so actually..

Momo's motive

I was clearing the litter tray just now
when I saw Momo staring intensely
at Kopi and Beanbean

Of course things were not so simple,
he had a motive for getting so close to them

..


How could I have forgotten that
we have a cat who loves to eat
GUINEA PIG POO!!

Upon the sudden realisation
that it's quite suspicious for him to be there,
I looked up,
and sure enough,
he was eating poo, "freshly out of the oven"
(can I add "with relish"?)

I chased him off
and cleared up the poo.

After a while he came back
to look for the guinea pigs,
stared at Beanbean's butt,
and stuck out his paw to touch her butt

Probably asking her to make more poo or something

Perhaps he is too hungry from his food rationing
that he resorts to poo to supplement his diet

Then again,
he is always hungry..

The Momo Manual, Chapter 1

In this Chapter,
