Pepper the CEO

The CEO of Pepper Dinner started
"As the new CEO of the company,
I shall discuss agendas important to the company...."


And CEO Pepper looked up,
and frowned, looking rather serious indeed.

"Linda-mama, Ougwee-mama,
stop playing with your handphones and
pay attention to the meeting!!!"

(We weren't playing our handphones can?!
We were taking his photos 'cos he simply was so adorable)

Cats Looking for Cats

"I think we have cats trapped inside that laptop in need of our rescuing..."

I want to eat!

This is MiaoMiao when she wants to tell us that she is hungry
Unfortunately,
she does this silently in the kitchen,
so while we were all busy in the living room with stuff,
she waited about 5 minutes for her food to come

And we didn't realise she was waiting there

She waited another 30 seconds
because I was taking her photo to post on the blog

Then finally she gets her food!
Patience actually pays off you see :)

Cat-Mum Obssession Syndrome

SIGNS THAT TELL YOU HAVE CAT MUM OBSSESSION
(For reference in the future when you have your own human kids)

1. Your daughter gets the pink bowl and plate, your son gets the blue one.
2. You refrain from touching your child's tummy, even for rubbing medicated oil
if he/she has colic. What if he/she gets angry??
3. You resort to cutting their nails while they sleep.
4. You tickle their chins and baby-talk to them. Worse, you do that when
they are in their teenage years already.
5. You start a blog and write about all the embarrassing things your children do.
6. You serve your children breakfast cereal every day, in their pink/blue bowls.
With milk.
7. You tell your son: "Fetch that mug for me please" or "Fetch me that piece of paper"
8. Your children each has a necklace with their name on it. And maybe the home telephone
number.
9. You just love taking photos of your children. Every day, every minute, every second.
10. When your children come of age, you say: "We might need to take him/her for
sterilisation" (This is a very serious form of cat-mum obssession you have)

Pepper DESTROYS....Again!

Pepper is at his destructive behaviour again!!!

MiaoMiao looks on disapprovingly...

"Why you waste the toilet paper...

I thought poopoo can only use 3 squares of toilet paper?"

The 2 Cat Burglars

Cat Burglar A climbs in. Cat Burglar B follows after.

Cat Burglar A and B check if anyone had seen them climb in!

Cat Burglar A: "Okay, so no one saw us. Now for some grooming. We need to look our best"

We are the TERRIFIC CAT BURGLARS!!!

Oh no! Wasted too much time grooming and posing. RUN before they catch us!!!

Ougwee gets back at Pepper

Then Ougwee sees the modelling kit and "Aha!!"

Got a shock for about 5 seconds
when I looked over at the litter tray,
from a distance



"Why is there blood in the litter tray?"

I thought Pepper passed out blood in his poo or something.

On closer look,

I then saw that it was



Pepper,
why on earth do you bring your toy
into the litter tray when you poo?
*faints*

How to get away from Pepper when he gets irritating

1. Jump up and sit on the television
(Pepper knows how to do that now. STRIKE)

2. Hide under the bed where she may be a little more erm...hidden
(Pepper already knows that is where MiaoMiao loves to hide. STRIKE)

3. Pretend to be asleep
(Pepper will just wake her up. No use doing that. STRIKE)

4. Jump up on the upper deck of the double decker bed
(Hehe! Now this is a good one... Pepper doesn't
really know how to get up.)

5. If Pepper manages to jump up (after like 5 attempts)
and start disturbing you, look very pitifully at Mama.
Mama will carry Pepper away and let you have a good rest.


Conclusion: It's not too easy to get away from him after all...

Tips for clear photos!

How to get nice photos of hyperactive cats
(which don't look like this:

)
Photo of MiaoMiao's first day at our house :)

#1. Take their photos while they are sleeping.
However sleeping photos can get sleepy after a while



#2. Have your handphone (which I use to take the photos)
within close reach at all times. So when those classic
moments happen, grab your camera and click!
However the place where I leave my handphone is rather
vulnerable to Pepper's destructive actions.
He loves to jump up on the living room table
and find something to kick around.

#3. Switch off that camera clicker sound whenever
possible. (MiaoMiao doesn't react much to the sound,
but Pepper starts to walk towards the lens when he
hears the sound)

#4. Wave your free hand crazily in the air.

The cat(s) will be enticed by that moving hand

and wells, stay still for your photograph



However the picture may be a little blur,
especially if you are unable to keep your camera hand still
while your free hand is doing its crazy wave.
If so, refer to #5.

#5: This requires the help of a second person.
Get that person to dance with both hands raised,
of course crazily,
while you hold your camera and prepare for the shot.
Your cats might think there is something wrong
with the Big Unfurry Cat though..

Moody MiaoMiao

MiaoMiao's been very aloof nowadays :(
It's like we want to sayang her,
then she walks away

The only time she stays
is during feeding time

Then she sits there and LOOKS
And you know you just have to feed her

It's like she's training us instead of the other way round

Then she sits under chairs and stay there,
so it's like we got pavillions all over the house

Hopes her moodiness will wear off after a while...

Pepper's 10 Commandants to Ougwee - #1

1. Thou shalt not scold thy, even if I'm in the wrong.

Now that MiaoMiao's only come up
with 2 commandants,
Pepper already has his first one

He's been jumping on the kitchen table these few days,
of course that is NOT allowed!

Then Ougwee scolds him for being naughty,
and holds him in front of her

Being in close proximity with Ougwee's face,
Pepper takes the opportunity to punch her face,
with his tiny little paw

Though it's more like he's pressing gently
on her face,
but it's his supposed intentions that counts right?

So Ougwee was punched 2 times today.
For telling Pepper not to jump on the kitchen table

The poor life of a cat mama...

Pepper's naughty act

Ougwee asked me if the 2 cats were being naughty

I replied: "No, but that's because they are sleeping"

Then she told me not to malign them

Pretty soon I caught hold of evidence of

Pepper's naughty act...

Hehe...

FETCH!!

Pepper can play FETCH!!

A photo of MiaoMiao and Pepper

For once Pepper didn't disturb MiaoMiao.
Instead he just sat quietly beside her




Then I could take a nice photo of them together :)

Pepper's 2nd vaccination trip

It's Pepper's second vaccination trip
to the vet today,
with MiaoMiao accompanying him

Despite getting him to pee
before setting off for the vet,
he still managed to have some pee leftover
to dirty the carrier during the journey to the vet

And MiaoMiao was so terrified at the vet,
that she would rather stay in the dirty carrier,
than to come out of the carrier
(And she wasn't the one who was going to see the vet)

So now Pepper weighs 1.9kg,
which is heavier than what MiaoMiao was at,
when she was 5 months old
And he is only about 3 months old
Pepper is going to be a heavy cat next time...

Pepper was a very brave boy and
was very relaxed during the vaccination :)

And again,
the nurse was very happy to see MiaoMiao

However,
MiaoMiao wasn't very friendly to the receptionist,
when she tried to say hi.
Aiyo....

For some reason or other
Pepper only needs to take 2 vaccination shots for the first year
MiaoMiao took 3.
Maybe it's because he started the vaccination course younger

And in about 2 months
Pepper will need to go for sterilisation!

He won't leave my things alone

Pepper's paws are quite 'itchy' nowadays,
that even things on the living room table
are not safe from his reach

Very often he jumped up on the living room table,
running around like the overexcited cat he is
Then MiaoMiao would be sitting on the chair,
looking up quizzardly as if thinking:
"I thought Mama says cannot jump up on the table??"

This morning he jumped up again
I was in the kitchen
when I heard a rather loud dropping sound

When I got to the living room,
Pepper was kicking around my handphone
like it was a soccer ball
Rather cool toy he got down from the
living room table isn't it?

He still wouldn't leave my things alone after that
I left my butter croissant in a plastic bag
on the living room table,
since I was planning to eat it outside

Pretty soon,
while I was not looking,
he started to maneuvour his little head
into the plastic bag,
trying to take a bite of the delicious croissant

Thanksfully I saw him
before he actually bit anything

Things on the table are..not very safe
from Pepper's claws and teeth
Like the other day
I saw two small puncture holes
on the cardboard sheet of my foolscap paper
