A list of possible items that would be found,
if Kopi and BeanBean go for some stomach cleaning:

1. Internet wire insulation
(even if it is taped high up out of their reach,
it still drops to the floor somehow.
There was once we couldn't access the Internet..
We later realised why)

2. A little of MiaoMiao's fur
(They don't know danger when they see it,
and nibble on MiaoMiao's tail when it is within
nibbling distance. They want to make friends with MiaoMiao,
but just have different ways of doing so)

3. Some Chinese tea leaves
(When they unwittingly drink from tea offerings.
SIGHS...)

4. Newspaper
(MiaoMiao observed them doing it so many times,
she started to like eating up newspaper too!)

5. Cocoa's water bottle's rubber pieces
(Just caught them sharing from the rubber suction
of the water bottle. First time Kopi is willing to share
with BeanBean)

6. Plastic, Plastic and MORE Plastic
(BeanBean ate a big hole out of the plastic bag,
which Ougwee used to hold their dirty wood shaving.
And the whole thing dropped out of the plastic bag.

MiaoMiao Manual Chapter 4

How to play hide and seek the MiaoMiao way

1. Hop into the space behind the television cabinet.
2. Stay there and wait for mama to catch the idea that this is hide and seek playtime.
3. Mama gets down on her elbows and knees and peek into the space to find MiaoMiao
4. Mama spots MiaoMiao, and vice versa. At this point, Miao Miao will exhibit the crazed expression.
5. Mama quickly pops out of sight and squat behind something so as to remain hidden.
6. There is a small bell-bell sound and before you know it, Miao Miao pounces on all fours onto Mama's head/back and struts off triumphantly, apparently not remembering that she is not a little 1 kg baby kitten anymore.

The MiaoMiao Manual, Chapter 3

How to sneak over to neighbour's house secretly, MiaoMiao's style

1. Run out the gate as soon as someone opens the door.
2. Roll all over the corridor floor.
3. Get up and sniff every single potted plant.
(Even if MiaoMiao's real aim is to get to the neighbour's house's plants,
she must not forget her duty to check on how Popo's plants are doing.)
4. Sniff around til Mama is a little distracted. (For example, reading newspaper, SMS-ing etc.)
5. Move over in the direction of the neighbour's house.
6. Mama will look up and check on where MiaoMiao is.
At this time give a lazy yawn and lay on the ground,
as if there's nothing interesting about the neighbour's house.
Do not forget to give Mama the innocent wide-eyed look.
7. Mama will go back to her stuff. Move 2 steps towards the neighbour's house.
8. Repeat Step 6-7 for about four times.
9. Finally, when MiaoMiao is sufficiently closer to the neighbour's house, RUNNNN!!!
10. However, this usually fails as Mama will come over
and MiaoMiao thinks it wiser to run back to Popo's plants.
("Popo's plants are the best-est of all! Really!")
11. A more determined MiaoMiao will try Step 6-9.
2 possible outcomes:
(A) MiaoMiao reaches neighbour's plants sucessfully.
(B) Refer to Step 10
12. Either way, MiaoMiao will be carried home immediately
because she is simply too naughty.

Nail cutting trip

Bought MiaoMiao for nail-cutting today

It was kind of the last straw
when she started batting my face
with her protruding nails, unintentionally.

We could have saved $10 if we cut it ourselves,
but wells,
let's just say it's $10 to avoid MiaoMiao's direct wrath.
At least she will be angry with the person at the pet's shop,
and not with us.

I'm not saying that she is petty,
just that..she doesn't take very well to vet visits and nail-cutting

So after the person at the shop sayang her
and got her to stay still on the counter,
she threw accusing looks at us
while getting her nails cut

I don't know whether it is really a look of accusation,
she just always has that expression

And I must say that the couple running the pet shop
were quite gentle to her,
they sayang-sayang her while cutting her nails,
and the lady even asked whether she got her vaccinations yet

So I guess MiaoMiao should not object too much
to going back for nail-cutting in future right?

Miao Miao the supervisor

Today my "Maria!!!Avee Maria!!!" (from 200 pounds beauty korean movie) alarm tone rang. I immediately woke up to stop the alarm..However just like usual, i sat up but remained closing my eyes to slowly wake up. (However if i lie back down i will surely get back to sleep, so i remain sitting)

Miao Miao heard me wake up, (or maybe she associated the song with me waking up and giving her her breakfast) but saw me still sitting up in bed, too lazy to move and reluctant to start the early morning. She jumped up to popo's bed so that she could reach my side, and begun to vigoriously butt her head against my elbow. (Mama!!Wake up!!MiaoMiao hungry!!)

My mum heard her clink clink bell (created by when miaomiao jumped up on the bed) and told me, "Miao Miao wants you to wake up..don't sleep le lah.."
Ok ok..mama surrendered and wake up to entertain MiaoMiao..

When the wedding bells ring

MiaoMiao was left alone at home
for quite some time yesterday,
because all of us had to attend a tea ceremony in the morning,
then the wedding dinner at night

with all the wedding dinners coming this year,
we started to think what we could do
when we have weddings at home
perhaps a few years down the road

we won't be locking MiaoMiao away in some room
during the tea ceremony

Instead,
we will get a big fat red bow to tie around her neck
Then she can go strutting around the house
and show off her red bow

At the aisle
MiaoMiao will wear a little bridal veil
and walk down the aisle together with the newly wed.

But she will just be too busy fumbling with the veil,
trying to get it off,
to remember that she should be walking along down the aisle

Just some imaginative thinking
while we were too bored at the tea ceremony and dinner :)

Truely Beautiful

I understand why people may think that
a tortoiseshell cat is not very attractive.

I thought MiaoMiao's fur coat looked abit "confused"
when I first saw her

If you looked closely at her body,
it's actually a very nice mix of colours,
with strips of brown all over

But for those who do not know MiaoMiao directly,
and at most have only saw her through photos,
you have no right to call her ugly

In the first place,
please take a look at yourself,
in the mirror.

A person will be beautiful,
even if physically not,
as long as her heart is good.

But you,
pitifully, has no such merit.

So who's the ugly one here?

Her mamas see her as a sweet and beautiful cat

She has even softened the heart of her Popo,
who did not allow her to get onto her bed initially.
Now MiaoMiao has a trampoline (actually Popo's bed)
and even sleeps with Popo once in a while

This remark is not meant for my friends,
so those who know me directly,
you need not worry.

For all,
I hope that you do not question
if cats can ever make better pets than dogs

for this is a matter of personal preference,
and perhaps fate.
and not a subject for anyone to decide

who knows?
some think terrapins make better companions
some prefer "Xiao Qiang", some prefer lizards
(hey MiaoMiao just killed one!)

New cages for the ham-hams

Peanut

Cocoa and Peanut has moved to metal cages! More fresh air, more fun smells!

Miao Miao is curious about the cages instead of the usual aquariums. Afterwards she went to sleep beside the cage, right on the table, apparently thinking that it's her duty to guard the cages.

Peanut's new bungalow! This is bought from online shopping.Peanut can now climb monkey bars for all he wants.

MiaoMiao's new friend

Today Emily sms-ed to Ougwee and me:
"....And your darling cat caught a black lizard
that sent me running off today"

I thought that was funny

It wasn't so funny when I reached home
Because MiaoMiao was still playing with the lizard,
and the lizard was prone, and dead

MiaoMiao alternated between
batting the dead lizard with her paw,
biting on it,
and then batting it a few more times.

(A section of the story has been censored
by the other 2 mamas)

In short, the lizard was then captured
and disposed of

Sorry lizard for throwing you down the chute,
but I really didn't know where else to put you

Seeing you haunted me so much,
I thought it was a lizard
when out of the corner of my eye,
I saw a black sock on the floor
or MiaoMiao's moving tail

MiaoMiao was rather displeased with us
for throwing away her new friend,
and for cleaning her paws with soap

I shall have to think twice before kissing her in future

SPIDERMIAO

Let's put our hands together to welcome..
THE SPIDERMIAO!!!

Eh-hem...
MiaoMiao,
just because corridor play-time is over,
doesn't mean you can go climbing so high up the window can?

I know you want to show your vehement protest
against the insufficient corridor play-time,
but people generally don't show it by climbing all over the windows
They start petitions.

So...
maybe one day you can go find Fat-cat and some other friends,
to start a petition?

(So you have to figure how to approach Fat-cat
such that she won't chase after you)

Climbing higher and higher by the day...
Maybe MiaoMiao is going to walk across the ceiling in future

Toilet Attendent:
Please put 20 cents on the table before going into the toilet.
You are allowed to tear 2 squares of toilet paper if you go
shee-shee, 3 squares if you are pooping.

And... Don't think you can use the toilet for free just because
my eyes are half-closed...that's all... I think....

(MiaoMiao dozes off within a minute)

MiaoMiao in the display case

You see,
it's actually MiaoMiao's secret wish to be a HAMSTER!
Then she can run and run on the hamster wheel everyday,

and never have to play boring hide and seek games with her mamas

Note:

(1) I wasn't that SICK to put her in the tank, she went in herself.

I was just a little sick to take photos, cos she looked really cute mah!

(2) Cocoa the hamster is intact, she moved to a new house. MiaoMiao didn't

eat her up then claimed the house for herself.

(1) Again we wasn't so sick to put her in, she went in herself.

Emily was just a little sick to add in Rugrats and the ping-pong ball,

for asethetic effects.

Never underestimate MiaoMiao!

I was actually silently giving myself a pat on the shoulder,
when 2 days ago,
I viewed my friend's blog
and saw what amount of mass destruction
her dog was capable of to her slippers and cushion

I thought,
luckily MiaoMiao is not capable of such destruction

She definitely proved me wrong the next day

I woke up yesterday morning with the intention to jog,
but ended up spending 20+ minutes cleaning after her mess

And once again she walked here and there
where I was cleaning,
without lifting a paw to help

Perhaps, she was just catwalking

Lesson of the day:
Cats can jump up onto high places,
Dogs generally can't.
So dogs will do their mass destruction to anything at ground level,
while cats will settle the destruction at higher grounds.

The MiaoMiao Manual, Chapter 2

How to play ball-ball, MiaoMiao's style

1. Mama will bounce the ball to start off the game.
Jump up, hit the ball, and go around chasing the ball.

2. Kick the ball around to get it moving.

3. Ball lost under shoe cabinet. Try to get it out.
(but since MiaoMiao's hand/paw is not long enough to go underneath,
so just sit there and look pitiful)

4. Mama notices MiaoMiao's pitiful expression.
She gets down to retrieve ball for MiaoMiao.

5. Kick the ball again.

6. Ball lost somewhere around bicycle area.
Backtrack to shoe cabinet to look for ball.

7. MiaoMiao doesn't see the ball under the shoe cabinet.
Give a pitiful little "miaow"

8. Look pitiful again.
Mama sighs: "Why is MiaoMiao looking under the shoe cabinet
when it is over at the bicycle?"

9. MiaoMiao happily returns to her game when
the ball suddenly bounce out of nowhere.
(of course she should be thanking her mama, but she doesn't know)

10. Ball lost somewhere near where Popo was sitting.

11. Backtrack to the shoe cabinet. Try to look for ball underneath.

12. Ball cannot be found under the shoe cabinet. MiaoMiao sits
and looks pitiful again.

(MiaoMiao doesn't seem to realise she needs to start looking
where she lost it, and not wait for the shoe cabinet to give
birth to a new one.)

Well-Behaved MiaoMiao

Today woke up for school..
Since I was the only one going to school,
I was supposed to give MiaoMiao her medicine
When MiaoMiao saw me taking the syringe and washing it,
she hid under the kitchen table. =P
I pulled her out (gently)
and tried feeding her the medicine.
Although this little cat did "miaow..." a few times in protest,
but she didn't attempt to scratch..
she only struggled a few times
but mostly hold still at the end.
thanks miaomiao..
otherwise i couldnt have fed her successfully..
miaomiao is such a sweet and nice smelling and loving kitten...

What MiaoMiao does at night

It was rather warm in the bedroom last night
so I went to sleep in the living room

I realised that it is rather interesting to see
what MiaoMiao is up to every night,
when all of us go to sleep
and she is left to her own devices.

MiaoMiao comes over to me when my eyes are closed
(Okay, I was pretending to sleep)
then she touches my arm with her paw

MiaoMiao:"Hmm...Lindamum is asleep...I shall go play on my own"

What a sweet considerate little cat :)

Except that one of her games
was to bat my flying hair due to the blowing fan,
which I immediately tucked under my head

Then she strutted to the kitchen to entertain herself

Silence.
Then a jumping sound.
And silence again.
Then another jumping sound.

I shudder to think what she was trying to catch
MiaoMiao you can chase whatever little things you like at night,
but don't do it in front of us okay?

Then I got up for a glass of milk
And she made her whiny "Miaow"
when she saw that I could now play with her

Thanks goodness for the invention of aluminium foil
Just tear some out,
crush into a ball,
and she can entertain herself for pretty long

Then when Chinese New Year comes next year
and we have to do spring cleaning,
we will find a lot of aluminium crushed balls
underneath all the furnitures and in all the little corners

Poo-ey..

As Lindamum has mentioned, we pasted plastic (cut from a plastic folder) to extend the length of her e collar..
So, it's quite inevitable that it can rub against her poo when she sniffs at the litter box.
So yesterday we have to take off the whole e collar and wash the e collar with soap..miaomiao took the chance to lick her injured leg..So we quickly distracted her with her favourite toys..
Later when putting the collar and sticking the plastic folder pieces back onto her collar, she didn't really struggle, she just hold still.(Though a tad irritated...her tail kept swishing slightly)
She's really such a obedient cat..=D
(and she always smells so nice)

Poor little MiaoMiao!

Now her wound's gotten worse.

Let me explain
with her new collar, which is not very fitting
(her previous collar has gone missing)
the e-collar tend to move downwards,
so that she is able to reach her wound on her left ankle

and so she did
and licked and bit and stuff

so now her injury is aggravated
we tried to bandage it but she bit it off,
and off with the bandage
there was also a big spot of blood on it

her wound looked gross-er
the skin/bone part came off
and the wound was wells, quite bloody

and in a bid to prevent her from biting on the wound again,
we pasted plastic to extend the length of her e-collar,
so that she can't reach her wound

she looks quite unglam,
so we shall be kind not to upload her photos

and because of the anti-imflammatory medicine
she has to take daily,
she vomits quite a lot these days

poor cat

I'm waiting to take a nice photo with her
when her e-collar comes off :)
