The closed room

Observations made on a quite typical night:


1. Emily goes to sleep and closes the bedroom door.

2. While the two other mamas are awake,
Pepper looks at the closed door in bewilderment,
wondering why it is closed.

3. He stands on his 2 feet and starts pawing the door.
Sometimes he even jumps up onto the table beside the door
so that he can paw the doorknob (but he has no opposable thumbs!)

4. When he decides he can't open the door
he starts to or-nell!~ rather despairingly.
Someone gets soft-hearted and opens the door for him.

6. He is happy that the door is no longer closed.
He goes in, walks one round of the room, and then comes out again.

So much effort just for that one round of the room.
